About the Program

The Sheridan VAMC pharmacy process hundreds of prescriptions daily. Many of these prescriptions are filled by the Central Mailout Pharmacy (CMOP). Prescriptions may be refilled by mail, phone or the Internet. Instructions for each method are detailed below.

Remember

Please order your refills 2 weeks before you run out. They will be mailed from CMOP.

Please note that no prescription is automatically ordered. All prescriptions must be requested. Only you, your caregiver or your health care provider may request medication for you.

Refill Your Prescription by Telephone

Use the Automated Refill Line. This automated refill line is available for all Sheridan VA Health Care System patients.

Here is how to use the VA Automated Medication Refill System:

You can order refills using a touch tone telephone:
(follow the steps below)

Step 1 – Call 1-877-752-0632 (or 675-3891)

Step 2 – Enter your full 9 digit Social Security Number followed by the # (pound) key.

Step 3 – Press 2 for prescriptions
Press * (star) to enter another social security number

Step 4 – Press:

  • 1 for refill
  • 2 to check on a prescription
  • 8 to talk with a pharmacist
  • # (pound) for previous options

Step 5 – Enter the Prescription number followed by the # (pound) key. This 7-digit number can be found on the third line down from the top of the label on your prescription bottle or on the refill slip. (If there is a letter right after the prescription number, do not enter it.)

Step 6 – Press 1 to order a refill of another medication
Press # (pound) for previous options

Note: All prescriptions ordered by telephone will be mailed to your home address within 7-10 days.

Internet Refill

Prescriptions may be filled online using VA's My HealtheVet program. You will need a user id and password to log in. If you do not have one, you can easily get one by creating your personal profile.

Mailing Refill

If you do not have a touch tone telephone or access to a computer, you may mail your refill slips to the pharmacy. Please allow at least 14 days for your refills to be processed and mailed to your home address

Refills at the Sheridan VAMC Pharmacy

All veterans are encouraged to refill their prescriptions by phone or Internet. Because of our patient workload, prescriptions cannot be refilled at the main Sheridan VA pharmacy window.

Clinical Pharmacy Programs

We offer a variety of specialty clinical pharmacy programs including prevention of blood clots through our Anticoagulation Clinic, and assistance and management of a variety of other chronic disease states.
